I use that same. Yes is diferent laptop's, but has same Intel arhitecture and Im allmost shure both got same controller? I try with bunch other images and allways got same problem, I think the problem is in image, mean is without this new AHCI drivers, so Im allways stuck in this point. Maybe the best solution for me is to make new slipstreamed ISO and add that drivers. But problem is, I got only 32 bit systems in house, so again problem.
Must try find some iso with drivers added and clean instalation no worms, viruses etc. ISO on that environment? I think that will pass? The system native one, msahci. What you are thinking about slipstreaming etc is complicated. Use the system native driver forst. And if still the issue presents there, infer the source iso is corrupt.
