We always get our drivers through Windows Updates, and leave the catalyst stuff for others to fiddle with.
With every new build, we do clean installs on a sampling of our computers, and all the drivers are obtained through Windows Updates. If we were dealing with your computer in our lab, we would uninstall that catalyst center, then go into Device Manager and uninstall your graphics adapter, deleting the driver, and reboot.
During the boot, the graphics adapter is reinstalled, and if there is no driver for it in the computer, it will still work, but at a lower resolution than you usually want. Then, checking for updates, we would get the driver needed, set the resolution as preferred, and roll on. I have the AMD Radeon series Thanks for your help, still I am not sure I look back into my history updates and yes there was an update from windows for AMD Radeon Driver, this is what it shows This driver was provided by Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
What is the main purpose for this driver. As far as I can tell it is for graphic and so far there does not seem to be any issues with my windows Well if your display is fine then don't bother with it Open 'Device manager' and look under 'Display Adapters' and if Radeon HD is there with no exclamation symbols then I would'nt worry about it.
Reason I was in Radeon Settings was I was carious at first did nothing about it. Next time I was on my computer there was an icon box indicating that there was an update which I click on it and brought me to the Radeon Settings showing updates that needed to be install.
Like I have mentioned, there seems to be no issue. I have played some games that I have installed and everything seems to be okay. I am not noticing any problems at this time. Is it okay to leave it alone for now or should I see if I can get it fix or do what ME suggest; uninstall the catalyst center and wait until Windows download and install them or just leave it along and wait.

You seem to have the driver to run your graphics, so if you just uninstall the catalyst center, and forget about it, and all should be well, without it pestering you to do updates. Windows Update will download and install them for you when appropriate.
